• Composite or Tooth Colored Fillings: Tooth-colored filling material is a blend of plastic and glass particles. This material is an excellent choice for small to medium size restorations. Dr. Camille Dixon will remove the decayed and diseased tooth structure, thoroughly clean the tooth, and bond in a composite filling that will match and blend with the surrounding tooth structure.
• Ceramic Inlays and Onlays: For more extensive areas of decay a stronger material is needed. Your dentist in Pompano Beach, FL may recommend an inlay or onlay to restore your tooth. These restorations are indirect, meaning they are made in a lab and then bonded to your tooth. This procedure does require two appointments to complete; however, the result is an appealing and durable restoration.
